Soon the school begins and than we have to get in to some routines, but for now we need to calm down and relax!

This beautiful song by the late Whitney Huston came to my mind as I was having my morning coffee on the terrasse.

Probably because I’m so excited on my children’s  behalf, and my belief in them.

This was also one of my favorite songs, during my teens and still is, on this album from February 14, 1985. I had the cassette…..

I believe that children are our future

Teach them well and let them lead the way

Show them all the beauty they possess in side

Give them a sense of pride to make it easyer

Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be

Every body searching for a hero

People need someone to look up to

I never found anyone who fulfill my needs

A lonley place to be

So I learned to depend on me

I decided long a go never to walk in anyones shadow

If I fail , if  I succeed

At least I live as I believe

No matter what they take from me

They can’t  take away my dignity

Because the greatest love of all

Is happening to me

I found the greatest love of all

Inside of me

The greatest love of all

Is easy to achieve

Learning to love yourself

I believe that children are our future

Teach them well and let them lead the way

Show them all the beauty they possess in side

Give them a sense of pride to make it easyer

Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be

And if by chance, that special place

That you’ve been dreaming of

Leads you to a lonely place

Find your strength in love

We drove down to Antibes starting last thursday morning! We took the ferry over to Denmark and with an overloaded stuffed Golf we headed for the AutoZug going from Hamburg!

We arrived two hours before we could drive onto the train. We ate at Burger King and looked at all the caracters in the area….(ref earlier blog, haha)

At 22:01 we left the Hamburg-Alton station and woke up the next morning at 08:00…20120829-165725.jpg…..in Lörrach, a German town near the border of Switzerland!20120829-165745.jpgFrom there it is only a 7 hour drive to Antibes.20120829-165808.jpgLörrach Station, waiting to get the car off the wagon…

We drove through Switzerland, Italy, past Monaco and finnaly we reached our destination!

I think it was a nice trip and I love to make snapshots out of the car window.

I really like the tunnel perspective:20120829-163743.jpg

I’m so overwhelmed by all the good luck and best wishes mails and messages I have had from you after blogging about this new chapter in my life. It is so touching that you care and are interested!

Subscribe to my blog here if you like to get my post on mail!

I will do my very best to write and keep you updated with photos from the life here and around Antibes!

Here are some pictures from a lovely village called Tourettes Sur Loop. A very charming town a 30 minutes drive from Antibes.

– Au revoir!

Here he is outside his new school in Mougins….

…proud father and excited son..

…and veeeeeery exited and proud me with my brave son!

I adore Lucas courage and motivation, I know he is a bit scared of what is awaiting him next week when the school starts, but he is determined and knows how incredible lucky he is. He knows that this experience is well worth the effort and that he will benefit from this BIG TIME!!! That is how smart this young boy is <3

The school looked very modern, well organized and friendly so I know he will have the best time here!

After the meeting we went to the «Hotel de Ville» and got some brochures of activities and sport clubs we could join here in order to adapt into the french environment and system. Lucas will sign up in the local football club….

….and he might also join the local sailer club!

It is perfect sailing conditions here!

Beach time….

….it is important to relax and have a good time before the school starts so we are just going to be at the beach as much as we can this week! It is 30 degrees Celsius in the air and 27 in the water!

Lucas is per definition a fish in the water and he just loves the wet element 🙂

Au revoir! The beach is calling!

Monday morning! I’m sitting and enjoying the sun rise with a cup og coffee!

We are so exited course we are going to see the new international school where Lucas is signed up for this semester!

He will not start for another week, but to day at 10 o’clock we will get a tour of the international school of Mougins!

This whole project is so exciting! We are going to stay here in south of france until x-mas without doing anything work related in the sense of making money for the first time in 20 years, (speaking for my self)

And I’m soo greatfull and thrilled for this opportunity coming my way. And for seeing it and taking it, taking the chance, cutting the sircle, jumping into something new, leaving what is safe and sound in order to get more out of my life!

Please feel free to subscribe for my blog and I will tell you what is happening!

Gotta jump in the shower and get ready!!! SEE YA!

I shed a few tears now!

For my 18.th birthday I got this card from my father, who at that point was not a big part of my life. But I kept the card and I cherished the words:

In my life I have found so much strength in this word. And I think in a way they have made me the person I am to day. I have lived by these words!

…so thank you my dear Pappa! You are a wonderful man, whom I love very, very much!

And to all others who sometimes need the comfort of some wise words, bring these words along in your heart and stay strong in your mind.

Make this day the first in the rest of your life! Have a new nice day, everyone 🙂

OK! I’m done!! No more food from the freezer!! Hahaha, I have almost finished it, but enough is enough!

I had yesterdays  salmon leftover for brunch to day….

Together with rocket salad, leek and tomatoes, topped with delicious olive oil, creme fresh, balsamic and acacia honey…

…..it was a party on the plate!!

This is the taste enhancer trio! Plus Creme Fresh, but he was absent when the photo was taken…don’t know where he went, probably empty int he bin!

I made a smoothie for dessert out of a bag of berries I found in the freezer, just added sparkling water and honey……then I drove my Bamixer, «a must have» in the kitchen, and blasted it all into….

…this colorful, good tasting smoothie! For a party  only add vodka on top, and stir!!

Look now! Only some fish left. I will give the fish to the neighbors cat. She has been left alone, only to catch mice, for two weeks now, so I think she will be delighted!

The kids will finish the ice cream in no time if I let them, and I will! Then the freezer will be empty and I will go to the store and by some fresh food. I will feel happy for all the money I have saved this past week, and for all the space I now have in the freezer!
