I Have a Weight Problem

Most people need to watch their weight so they don’t get too fat and get health issues. I’m no exception. I try to do a little bit of excercise, I’m aware of what kind of food I eat and I try to avoid sugar drinks. But the exercise part is the most difficult to do. I like to exercise, but my problem is to prioritize it and get it done. I always have some excuses for not doing it. It’s too cold, it is snow and ice in the light slope, I have too much work to be done, it’s to late, too early, too dark. But now my shoulders and neck are very upset and they need strengthening so I figured I should do something about it.

I brought up my one of my manuals and a kettle bell from the cold, humid and dark garage into our tiny, but warm bath room. You don’t rely need much space for lifting a hand held 5kg manual up and down, but you need easy access. And you need them to stare at you in the morning. The 16kg kettle bell I would only use to help stretch my neck. By holding it in one hand and just let it dangle down while putting my head to the opposite side.

Now I have no excuse and I have kept it up every day for a week. I already feel better in my neck. I guess my arms has not yet transformed into the lean and muscular image I’m working on, but if I keep it up, I might get there. It’s all a question of power, passion, persistence and patience.

I hope to loose a little bit of weight too, but not like I did today.

This morning, when I reached for my tools from under the bathrooms dresser, they were gone. They were not there anymore. Hm..

So here comes my weight problem.

The weights had been removed and taken from me on the basis that the bathroom was too small to be lifting these heavy weights in. This was equipment meant for garage use. I could by accident smash up the entire bathroom,  I had to remember there is a lot of glass in this bathroom and the paint from the kettle bell had contaminated the industrial concrete floor leaving black stripes where I had pushed the bell under the dresser. I also had to remember that there were heating in this floor and  that the cables could eventually get affected too if I continued this kind of behavior. Also there had been a loud sound shaking the house as I dropped the kettle bell carelessly on the floor!!!

Well, I did not really know what to say. Felt like 8…..

So obviously now I have a serious weight problem. I have lost some weight, but it’s not the same as loosing weight.

I decided to not pick a fight, I washed the floor free from black paint thinking wether I should bring back my weights or wait?

What is right?

Maybe we need to ask Silky8?

Carefree Snapping

At times I just have too much going on and I want to share it everywhere!

Blueberry Burger

On Thursday I barbecued blueberry burgers, made from deer meat and fresh blueberries from the woods on grill coal! Friday I baked a loaf and made mayonaise from my hens eggs! Today I have lunch with the leftover! Decorated with parsley and chive from my kitchen garden, tomatoes from Finnøy, 1 black olive chopped up from the Greek olive container I bought at Tall Ship Race, grained parmesan and hot pizza oil! Yummi!

Break Down

Ltd #artscarf "Channel" by SchimJolie
Good thing I had ELLE and could read about our beloved Crown Prinsess,  HRH MM, in Ltd #artscarf «Channel» by SchimJolie on the hood of SchimBo 😀

Did I mention when our Land Rover Defender, Schimbo, broke down in the middle of nowhere?

Well, that’s not exactly right, but we were far out. We had by coincidence ended up at one of Norway’s few wine yards called Kvelland VinGård in Lyngdal.

After seeing the Alpacas at Lista we were recommended to take a look at the wine yard to get inspired.

We were lucky and got hold of the farmer who showed us around and let us take pictures.

He also told us about the spiritual evenings he organized in the function house and told us to come one day.

We were going to leave, but then SchimBo refused to start!!!!

We turned the key, but not even a sound came out of SchimBo, who had been so happy to be taking us out to a different country side!

The car does have soul, and we also started to think about the spiritual affairs going on here, but to what end?

«You can check out any time you like but you can never leave…Welcome to Wine Yard Kve-e-elland!» hahahahaha

Anyways we tried to run it, to tow it, but no life! So we had to call Falken and after an hour or so the tow car came and took us to Mandal!

And the story will continue another time course in Mandal we learned some more interesting things!

Here are the photos from our adventure at Kvelland Gård:

I like to wrap up in an Ltd #artcarf by Schimjolie as some of you might have noticed 😀

But as it happens I also like to make eatable wraps from scratch and here is my recipe:

Love this Pizza
Love this Pizza Napolitane!

Spelt Flour – Olive oil from Oliviers&CO – Pinch of Salt – Baking Powder – Milk

I don’t like to make too much fuss about measuring so I just take the flour (important to save some for the pressing out part) and add some salt, baking powder and olive oil. Then I add milk until the dough is firm and sticky!

Here you can take a break …that’s what I do! I put the dough into a plastic bag and store it in the refrigerator until I want to continue 😀

In my case it is the next day…

Or you can just leave it in the bowl put some cling film over and wait 20 minutes:D

What ever you choose!

Then I let the pictures speak for the rest:

See Me – Sea Gap

Ltd #artscarf "Sea Gap" is about how the possibilities in life lays wide open for those who dare and believe.

Old McDonald Had a Farm…

Farmer Family

Yesterday I went to see a friend of mine called Netta! She has moved to a big farm at a place called Grødum!

She wanted some photos of her 3 children and all the animals: two horses, six dogs, one pig and at least one cat…

Well, we gave it a shot, and I tell you it was lots of fun, but very difficult to get a picture where everybody looked normal…but here is a few to illustrate the chaos! We had a good laugh, though 🙂
