My day – Mayday?

Long time no blogging..I lost my blog to spam comments, but now I’m trying to fix it and this is a test…but I can fill the test with content incase it works!

This is my day to day:

I let the picture speak for its self..or not?

First workout at Progressive with Magnus Franzen. I lifted 80 kg…in Ltd SchimJolie Silk Scarf «Blue Hour» (the picture shows only 70kg)

I went home and had a quick style up, I put on «Pink Purses», before heading over to Tangen Media and Communication to shoot a new video toturial for SchimJolie showing «Love Is All Around» as a skirt.

Break Down

Ltd #artscarf "Channel" by SchimJolie
Good thing I had ELLE and could read about our beloved Crown Prinsess,  HRH MM, in Ltd #artscarf «Channel» by SchimJolie on the hood of SchimBo :D

Did I mention when our Land Rover Defender, Schimbo, broke down in the middle of nowhere?

Well, that’s not exactly right, but we were far out. We had by coincidence ended up at one of Norway’s few wine yards called Kvelland VinGård in Lyngdal.

After seeing the Alpacas at Lista we were recommended to take a look at the wine yard to get inspired.

We were lucky and got hold of the farmer who showed us around and let us take pictures.

He also told us about the spiritual evenings he organized in the function house and told us to come one day.

We were going to leave, but then SchimBo refused to start!!!!

We turned the key, but not even a sound came out of SchimBo, who had been so happy to be taking us out to a different country side!

The car does have soul, and we also started to think about the spiritual affairs going on here, but to what end?

«You can check out any time you like but you can never leave…Welcome to Wine Yard Kve-e-elland!» hahahahaha

Anyways we tried to run it, to tow it, but no life! So we had to call Falken and after an hour or so the tow car came and took us to Mandal!

And the story will continue another time course in Mandal we learned some more interesting things!

Here are the photos from our adventure at Kvelland Gård:

GIVEN THE STRENGTH TO CARRY ON

Ltd #artscarf "One In a Million" is about how unique and precious each and every one of us are!
Sneak Peek! Ltd #artscarf «One In a Million» is about how unique and precious each and every one of us are in our own special ways!

Amazing things continue to happen in the «Silk Cocoon» (read Le Petit Country Shop). And I’m going to tell you one of the stories.

Last month I was contacted by a woman, I did not know her at all, but she had seen my beautiful Ltd #artscarf collection on the web and she wondered if it was possible to see them «live»? I told her to come at Le Petit Country Shop on Sunday and she agreed, but told me to give a hint if there was any chance to come by earlier.

And as it happened I had an appointment for thursday, to help two other ladies to pick their silk scarf, so I told her to come at 18:00, if she could.

I tell you, she was so happy about it, and five to six she arrived in the Country Shop at Strai. She entered the «cocoon», stopped half way in and just gazed. She was totally amazed by the atmosphere and all the silky babies hanging around smiling and flirting with us.

«Oh my god! They are gorgeous», she cried with a low voice filled with enthusiasm.

«How much are they?»

I knew she must have seen the price on the SchimJolie website, but I told her!

Holding her hands to her face, smiling with sparkling eyes, she said clear and firm:

«I’ll take two! And..», she continued with an even bigger smile pointing at the lovely «Different Rose» No.1/250 «…I’ll also have one of your gorgeous #artpillows!!!!»

I just can’t describe how happy I was to meet with this passionate person who understood the art and the silk and the concept Ltd #artscarf by SchimJolie

This one of a kind woman, she really made me feel like I’m doing something right.

She was an angel sent.

Because at times it is hard to keep up the phase and make everything work all by yourself. Sometimes the doubt comes sneaking and you wonder if you are just making a fool of your self…

But she made it all soooo worth while.

She gave me the strength to carry on!

We selected two scarves, and as we did, she winked at me and said:

«These are just the two first ones, I’ll be back for more.»

I’m crying of happiness as I’m retelling this story, because it is so important and it means the world to me to get this kind of credit after all the hard work and effort put in.

Though I have a saying that keeps me going because it is true..

«If it means it doesn’t mean anything to anyone else in the world but me – that’s enough! Have faith and believe in your self!» -Ingrid Himberg

…doesn’t change the fact of the good feeling when what I create means something to others, too!

And when it is appreciated with genuine words, a body language not to be mistaken, I’m filled with pure plain wonderful complete happiness!

This absolutely stunning, beautiful woman also described to me, with passion, how she would lay them out over her sofa when she came home, and how she would pour a glass of red wine and just enjoy admiring them. I can’t tell you how home she had come.

I have the exact same feelings about the silk scarves, every single one of them, means so much to me! And the feeling just keeps growing as I work with them. Working with their pictuers, telling their story.

I never get tired of putting them on, ironing them up, packing them down, with love, to go to new homes. It’s an amazing experience. And meeting up with a silkysoulmate like her, just made my day, week, month, year!

As she left with the scarves, she whispered to me with a happy voice «I’m so filled with joy and I’m over excited about these scarves, right now I have heart beats!»

I told her I know the feeling!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION

Have a wonderful day, and remember to embrace life with gratitude and grace….preferably in a SchimJolie #artscarf design made out of 100% passion for life, travel, honest photography, true love, all transferred on to high quality 16mm Satin Silk!

HAIR BAND STYLE

….with Ltd #artscarf from SchimJolie

Hair Band Style
Heluuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!

I felt playful this morning and decided to try a new look with the #artscarf.

It’s really getting colder up north so wearing it like a dress is a bit to cold for me now!

These days I mostly use the Ltd #artscarf’s as a shawl, a poncho, a cape or a nice neck scarf to compliment my otherwise very neutral and straight outfit!

But today I decided to use it as a chick hair band. I’ve noticed that this style is really trendy right now so here I the result of pulling all my hair forward, secured with long flat clips.

Then I have this wavy iron to give me the texture in the fringe and at last I tied the Ltd #artscarf «Yellow Summertime» twice around my head! (Use the blue link to see full size and how you can get it)

I like it!

So maybe that’s the style I use when I in less than fifteen hours is on my way to the «City of Lights» to meet with the fashion Industry in Paris.

ALPACA ALMIGHTY – du store alpakka

On thursday we met with Alpakka Lista. Alpacas have fascinated me for a long time, and I started to google and try to find out more about them this summer. Therefore when I found out about the livestock farm at Lista I just knew I had to go!

We got a really nice meeting with Cecilie Nilsen who is the «mother» of over 45 alpacas.

She imported her first stock from New Zealand in 2009 and has never looked back. She told us that the process has been long and challenging, but well worth it, when coming this far.

She gets lots of attention from tourists and from the people in the little communities of the ares around Lista.

And you don’t have to wonder why…really!

The Cutest Alpaca Girl Ever

Alpacas are used in therapy and mindfulness. And just to sit and observe a flock of alpaca is very tranquilizing and interesting.

CBS NEWS

http://www.iolanthealpacas.com

Cecilie tells us that their attitude resembles of a cat’s. They are very independent, curious, a bit shy. They are elegant and graceful. And they are beautiful, funny and friendly.

But not like the cat, you can train an alpaca, they are super intelligent and responsive to training. Left alone you can pet them but:

The alpacas do not like to be cuddled when they are in their flock on the field, they are not that kind of animal. They totally ignore you and pull away if you try to stoke them.

That’s why in the pictures I’m walking around in the flock, when I came too close they just pulled away!

Cecilie also told us that if you cuddle an alpaca when it’s a baby and use it as a pet, they can go crazy and you have to put it down.

But if you treat them with respect and let them live their own life on a big field, in a flock, minimum 2, under your care; which is limited down to cutting their nails, trimming their wool once a year, checking their teeth, giving them the possibility of shelter during rough weather and some concentrated feed and D vitamins in the winter month, the alpaca is surviving and living a happy life.

We have to admire Cecile and her husband for their work at the farm. And all the things they have accomplished! Check out their web shop with the fantastic products made of alpaca wool.

Thursday was a wonderful day, sunny and warm, so we moved over to the Light House where the alpaca boys were grassing and decided to make a photo shoot with them in Ltd #artscarf from SchimJolie.

Always out to promote and to make and to create! Check out this video we made as well http://www.schimjolie.com/live-love-laugh-lista/

We drove away happy and inspired and decided to go visit the vineyard just a stone throw away! More about that in my next blog post :-)

PLUMJAM PRODUCTION

SchimJolie Farmerstyle PlumJam
SchimJolie Farmerstyle PlumJam – with hint of vanilla and cinnamon

Yesterday we spent time on grandmas farm again and we came home with a large bag of plums!

For the first time in my life I have made jam….. it wasn’t rocket science, It was more like a test of your patience….well, the most time-consuming job was to remove the stones out of 2-3 kilo plumes, but with that done I just put some water, not much, into the pan and poured 1 deciliter sugar in as well.

I also found a couple of cinnamon sticks and one vanilla bean I threw in!

After, I read on the pack, that the sugar is supposed to be added after the plums have boiled. But I don’t worry about that! I’ll do it that way next time, hihi!!  It also said I needed to add a whole kilo of sugar! No way!

I added the «Jam-Pack», to make the jam more firm, like it said on the pack and then I added 1 deciliter more sugar – in my taste and health opinion, more than enough!

«you don’t always have to follow the recipe – whether it is in life or cooking, it is always allowed to think for your self and do your own experiences, that’s how you learn and evolve» – Ingrid Himberg 2013

Here are some photos from my little jam workshop, hihi, all dressed up in a SchimJolie

SCHIMJOLIE – That’s ME

Dandelions skirtHello Everybody!

Today I will tell you a bit about my new project! As you probably have noticed I’m promoting something called SchimJolie!

I do know that I’m posting a lot on Facebook, but I find it necessary. I try to post different things and to renew and variate the posts. But if you think it’s too much and not of your interest, there is a button to hide status updates from persons you don’t want updates from…just saying!

To all the others thank you for following and supporting us :-)

SchimJolie is a new Brand and LifeStyle Concept. SchimJolie is a combination of two intelligent and creative and  brains, Scheie/Himberg = Schim…. (the love of my life and me), and Jolie is just beautiful in French :-)

«When you do the common things in life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world.» -George Washington

And that is exactly what SchimJolie is about to do! Nothing is new in our concept, printing on silk is way old, and wearing just a piece of garment is even older, I mean that’s what they did in the early age and still do in some parts of the world!

But to combine my photography from different destination in the world, not edited, all with a title and number, printed on one piece of 100% highest quality silk in limited editions, with fashion and all the multiply, adjustable styles you can get out of it, produced in England, seems to be something new!

We have attended two big fashion fairs, one in London and one in Copenhagen. Both places we got so much attention and credit for our new concept, the visitors loved the innovation and the creativity!

So here I am in front of my «silkybabies» as I like to call them, at SchimJolie’s Head Quarters, wrapped up in Ltd #artscarf «Dandelions» as a skirt, fitted just under my knees!

Because of SchimJolie – I am as happy as I can be!

In the back ground from left is:

«Yellow Summertime» as a nice evening gown  – «Standing Tall» as a smart dinner dress – «Dandelions» as s cape – «Pink Purses» as a scarf and «Duomo di Milano» as a skirt!
