WELCOME TO SCHIMJOLIE & Le Petite Country Shop – Studio & Gallery

It has been a long time since last blog post, and it’s not because nothing has happened 😉 Too much has happened, but I will not go on about that now!

I would like to tell you about my day to-day! I’m sooooo excited!

I have cleared out the garage at Strai and me and Svein Eriks new «baby» SchimJolie LifeStyleConcept is about to open a place for the public!

I can’t wait. And with our tempo it’s no reason to wait! I think next week we are up and running! WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!

Everyone is welcome to see us and the Ltd #artscarf collection!

I might also take up my commercial photography and do some children and family portraits if anybody is interested?

Next to SchimJolie – Petite Country Shop I already have the most amazing flower and garden outlet «Drømmehaven» run by the sweetest and so friendly Kristin. She came with coffee to me as I was way down in all the crap and rubbish stored over many years in these three garages we cleared today!

Tomorrow I will paint the joint and then I will start decorating! Come and visit if you have the chance. I’ll bring the coffee machine tomorrow and there is always time for a chat!

The place will not be perfect at first but, but I need to get going and to get started, so I don’t worry, we’ll work it out as we move!

Life is too short to care about trifles 🙂 JUST DO IT!

So see you at Strai and at SchimJolie – Petite Country Shop – Studio & Gallery!

It’s only 10min by car from the center! Just saying!

Here are som photos of today’s progress 🙂

I dont know what it is, but when I’m going to write the title of my blog post, sometimes a title of a song just pops in…!

Anyway, something about China is obviously to come up now, hehe:)

This week, from tuesday to thursday, we had Leeka visiting us! She is chines and lives in Shanghai. I have known of her since Lucas was born in 2003. Svein Erik has known her a lifetime I think…

In 2003, the 8th of january, I was 11 days on overtime with Lucas. Guang, the father of Leeka’s two children, Louis (18) and Owen (9), was in Norway with some garment samples. He and Svein Erik wanted me to make a photo session of the samles, so we drove down to my studio to make that happen!

Svein Erik dropped us of at the door while he went to park the car! Me and Guang went inside, and I started to prepare for the shoot!

Suddenly I was standing in a poodle, I looked at Guang, then at the poodle, and said, «I think the water just broke….»

Guang totally panicked, and started to call Svein Erik and shouting «hospital, hospital» «…water broke, water broke, help!!!!» Sounding quite funny with his chines-english accent!

I had to try calm him down, saying that I didn’t feel any contractions and it could be hours before the baby would come. Svein Erik came, and I suggested we finished the shoot, and then go to the hospital!

But Guang was not focused and he was so determined of getting me to the hospital, there were no way of finishing the shoot!

After tests and measurement at the hospital the nurse said it could take hours even days before anything happened. I could stay there or go home. I decided to go home.

I needed to give them a blood sample. On my way there, Lucas suddenly kicked in! He obviously wanted out! I took the blood sample, just lucky the doctor didn’t hit me with the needle somewhere else, as Lucas had really started his journey out.

Next stop was labor bed. Two hours later he was out! Like a rocket! I had my first flowers from Guang. After just one hour of labor I saw him in the door with a bouquet….haha! I was thinking WTF:)

Two month later Leeka was giving birth to their son Owen.

We have had some good laughs over this story, and we did this time too!

Leeka has visited us in Norway, and we have been at her house in England, where she was based until 2008. Then she moved to Shanghai.

Now her son Louis has started his first year studying medicine at a university near Manchester. That’s why she was in europe and took the time to come and see us here in Antibes!

She is a wonderful woman, with a good sense of humor! We had some lovely days with her!

Here we have dinner at Sushi Shop and under are some more photos and description from the past week!

Also found soon 5 years old pictures of Lucas and Tomas… Awwwww…so cute:)

Have a nice saturday every one! Lots of love from all of us!
