PLUMJAM PRODUCTION

SchimJolie Farmerstyle PlumJam
SchimJolie Farmerstyle PlumJam – with hint of vanilla and cinnamon

Yesterday we spent time on grandmas farm again and we came home with a large bag of plums!

For the first time in my life I have made jam….. it wasn’t rocket science, It was more like a test of your patience….well, the most time-consuming job was to remove the stones out of 2-3 kilo plumes, but with that done I just put some water, not much, into the pan and poured 1 deciliter sugar in as well.

I also found a couple of cinnamon sticks and one vanilla bean I threw in!

After, I read on the pack, that the sugar is supposed to be added after the plums have boiled. But I don’t worry about that! I’ll do it that way next time, hihi!!  It also said I needed to add a whole kilo of sugar! No way!

I added the «Jam-Pack», to make the jam more firm, like it said on the pack and then I added 1 deciliter more sugar – in my taste and health opinion, more than enough!

«you don’t always have to follow the recipe – whether it is in life or cooking, it is always allowed to think for your self and do your own experiences, that’s how you learn and evolve» – Ingrid Himberg 2013

Here are some photos from my little jam workshop, hihi, all dressed up in a SchimJolie

I wanted to make a pie, but I did not have flour!
So I decided to make something simple and sweet!
I made a Blackberry soup!

I wonder how this tastes, with one cup of blackberries, a spoon creme fresh, a pinch of powder sugar and vanilla sugar all mixed together with my genius Bamixer!
